Sometimes youth ministries are seen as
the vital
component to meeting the spiritual needs and nurture
of teenagers. Youth Pastors and Leaders are great, but
the honest truth is that no one spends more time with
and around your teens than you.
This is why we see parents as not only
important, but vital
to the spiritual development of the teens in our student
ministry. We know this statement is hard to believe at
times...but..."Parents, you DO matter to
your teenagers."
It might not feel like it sometimes, but
your teenager is
watching you. Watching how you live, and how you
worship God. In fact statistically, you are the most
influential person in your teen's life. 78% of American
teens say that their parents have a lot of influence on
their life.
